Last week in Saigon
Time was getting short and there was about one week left in Saigon.

School
This is the main Building of, RMIT, the school where Stephen and TT teach. We were invited to sit in on a class one Saturday morning and were delighted to meet such a nice group of young people who take their studies seriously and are very polite and attentive. RMIT is an Australian University with a presence in Vietnam.
Tax Store Lobby
This store is across Le Loi from the Rex. It is where the Pastry Lady works. Two years ago this was dingy and dirty, the escelators and fountains did not work and the building was filled with a warren of small shops a lot like Ben Thanh Market. Now the store lobby is beautiful and the booths have been replaced by glass display cases and young ladies nicely dressed. The store looks more like a Macy's than a farm market.
Elephants at the Zoo
There is a lot less between the animals and the public than in American zoos. The Saigon Zoo has been cleaned up a lot since 2001 but there is still work to do and the collection is relatively small.
Otters at the Zoo
Two years ago these Otters were swimming in a shallow pool of what looked like sewage. Now they are in a nice deep pool of clean water.
Men playing in the Zoo
Men are playing a game like badminton except the shuttle cock is kicked over the net.
