Trip to the Mekong Delta
We took the one day tour to the Mekong Delta from Saigon Tourists.

Miss Dung Resting
On our way to My Tho, where we meet the boat for the tour, we stop at a rest stop. The rest shop has a refreshment stand, tables and chairs and hammocks.
Canal Junction
As we sail through the Delta we come to the junction of two canals.
Mekong Boat
A cargo boat moving through a canal.
Mekong Church
At the place that we stop for lunch there is a church across the canal.
Making Rice Paper
This lady was making rice paper here two years ago. Some things never change.
Puffing Rice
Rice is heated in a pan full of black sand. The sand causes the rice to heat evenly and faster. After puffing the rice is seperated with a screen.
Pottery
A place new to the tour this year is a factory where pottery is being made. They also make bricks. The work is mostly manual labor. Any equipment is antiquated.
